The Maritime Affairs sector in the Sultanate of Oman oversees the regulation and development of maritime activities and ports. It is responsible for ensuring maritime safety, vessel registration, and the implementation of relevant international conventions. The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology works to enhance port infrastructure, develop national maritime expertise, and promote investment in marine logistics in alignment with Oman Vision 2040 and the country's ambition to become a regional logistics hub.
