The project includes repairing damaged pavement layers and constructing several underpasses to facilitate vehicular movement, most notably the underpass currently under construction in the Al-Muladdah area in the Wilayat of Al-Musannah.

Once completed, this underpass is expected to improve traffic flow between both sides of Sultan Qaboos Road and stimulate economic and social activity in the area, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the road’s infrastructure and reducing the impact of future weather conditions.

The Ministry affirms its commitment to continue maintenance and rehabilitation efforts to ensure the safety of road users and to improve the performance of the national infrastructure network.
