The committee is chaired by H.E. Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al-Shamakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology – Transport, and includes 16 specialized members from relevant authorities, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 13/2024 issued on 27 Jumada al-Akhira 1445 AH, corresponding to January 10, 2024.

The committee has undertaken several initiatives as follows:

• Regulatory Initiatives: Omanization of the positions most occupied by expatriates in the transport and logistics sector.
• Specialized Job Initiatives: Aimed at integrating the labor ecosystem in transport and logistics in collaboration with partners from both the public and private sectors.
• Employment Policies: A series of policies and regulatory measures in the transport and logistics sector designed to increase job opportunities for Omani citizens.
