About the Consultation:

In a world where artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving at an unprecedented pace, the frameworks and policies governing this technology are becoming increasingly important to ensure its benefits are maximized. The Ministry seeks to develop a comprehensive national AI policy, and to ensure that it reflects the needs and aspirations of all members of society, we have launched this public consultation as an open platform for all stakeholders. Individuals, experts, academics, policymakers, and stakeholders are invited to share their views and suggestions on the different aspects of the policy.

Objectives of the Document:

• Contribute to achieving the goals of the digital economy in the Sultanate through the adoption of AI technologies across various sectors.
• Establish an enabling environment for AI, including legislative, regulatory, and technical frameworks.
• Raise public awareness about artificial intelligence.
• Encourage innovation and technological advancement in AI in alignment with national priorities.
