It includes provisions for ship registration and ownership, responsibilities of shipmasters and crews, and legal frameworks for maritime contracts such as transport, chartering, towing, and salvage. The law also addresses safety regulations, marine accidents, liability, and dispute resolution. It aligns with international maritime conventions to ensure Oman’s maritime practices meet global standards.
