Oman's Cybersecurity Industry Development Program, led by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Oman National CERT, supports the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and the National Digital Economy Program. It aims to make cybersecurity a vital economic sector by boosting job creation, supporting SMEs, increasing foreign investment, and strengthening national digital infrastructure.
Key components include:
- Growing the cybersecurity market’s contribution to 20% of the ICT sector.
- Creating 1,000 jobs/income opportunities in cybersecurity.
- Promoting local startups and attracting two foreign cybersecurity companies.
- Enhancing human capital through training, internships, and awareness campaigns.
- Strengthening exports of Omani cybersecurity services and experts.
